چکیده

Objective: The objective of the study was to compare effects dexmedetomidine versus midazolam-fentanyl on post-operative recovery, sedation, analgesia, and hemodynamic parameters in patients undergoing middle ear surgery under local anesthesia. Methods: Seventy-two were randomly divided into two equal groups - Group D (dexmedetomidine) MF (midazolam fentanyl). Intra operative heart rate, mean blood pressure, respiratory rate (RR), SPO2 recorded every 15 min for 1st 30 then at interval till end surgery. In period, parameters, Aldrete score pain assessed patient discharged from post anesthesia care unit (PACU). Post-operative sedation checked 1 h, 2 4 8 h. Observations: Midazolam fentanyl combination caused more fall scores as compared initially, but readiness discharge PACU similar both groups. Patients group had significantly higher op overall duration Post-op patients, 1.5 More number demanded rescue analgesia PACU. Both drugs changes during produced less decline RR oxygen saturation midazolam combination. Conclusion: present concluded that seems be a better alternative plus surgeries done due lesser derangement period.

Comparison of dexmedetomidine versus midazolam on hemodynamic parameters, bleeding, satisfaction of surgeons and patients who Underwent laminectomy surgery by spinal anesthesia

Background: One of the most empirical subjects particularly in substantial operations for example in surgeries involving the vertebral column, are the implication of sedatives in a manner which would create the least complications such as changes in the hemodynamic parameters. Two such drugs that are widely used in this capacity in clinical settings are midazolam and dexmedetomidine. Hemodynami...

Comparison Hemodynamic Effects of Midazolam and Dexmedetomidine as a Premedication in Patients Undergoing Upper Limb Surgeries: A Double-blind Intervention

Introduction: Premedication is an integral part of general anesthesia which has side effects. The aim of this study was to compare the hemodynamic effects of Dexmedetomidine and Midazolam as a premedication in patients undergoing elective upper limb surgery during induction of anesthesia and postoperative shivering. Methods: 60 candidates for elective upper limb surgery who referred to Shahid R...
